The trouble with intellectuals is that they can rationalize themselves into almost anything---regardless of right or wrong---our stubbornness toward the good is easily swayed by the delicate sophistries of the mind. However, we seldom lie about our faults and falls; for the truth is ever present in the mind, if sometimes carefully sidestepped.
